Are you looking for your next big career opportunity? Our Independent Assurance Services team is looking for a talented and dynamic professional to join their team to plan and perform risk-based assurance projects.
In this highly visible role, you will identify risks across all divisions and business functions and be responsible for all aspects of the audit process, including performing risk assessments, developing audit programs, conducting audit planning, fieldwork, preparing of work papers, and delivering high quality reports and presentations.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in risk assessments of functions, business units or regions.
- Identify and assess risks and control activities and design effective audit procedures to evaluate control effectiveness.
- Plan and perform risk-based internal audits in accordance with the annual audit plan.
- Identify internal control gaps in business procedures, processes, or systems.
- Perform data analytics to identify control weaknesses and trends in control failures.
- Prepare internal audit reports and presentations that clearly and succinctly describe results.
- Recommend practical, appropriate, and cost-effective methods to reduce identified risk exposures and increase the strength of the overall control environment.
- Perform follow-up of Management action items through resolution.
- Conduct advisory projects for business process changes to provide proactive risk and control guidance to business partners.
- Complete ad-hoc project requests as needed.
- Develop and continually strengthen working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Participate in project/committee/initiatives as assigned to support assurance objectives.
- Reinforce management ownership of controls through continuous stakeholder engagement.
- Maintain professional expertise and credibility to support Internal Audit activities.
- 1-3 years of experience auditing in a global corporate environment or national public accounting/consulting firm.
- Audit experience pertaining to large, multi-national organizations focusing on manufacturing, technology, or consumer products preferred.
- Strong technical knowledge of internal controls, including Information Technology General Controls
- Knowledge of using data analytics to evaluate key trends and key performance indicators.
- Willingness to learn new business processes and clearly document process controls in flowcharts and/or narratives.
- Capacity to maintain high attention to detail and accuracy while working against demanding deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with an ability to work autonomously.
- Quick learner, team oriented, and ability to work with partners in different areas of organization and locations supporting business objectives.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally.
- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Masters degree preferred.
