The Transplant Nurse Practitioner will join an accomplished team focusing on Abdominal Transplants. This is a high-volume area for the hospital where they see patients receiving kidney, liver, pancreas, small bowel, colon, stomach, and multi-organ transplants. This team is consistently recognized for being one of the safest and most innovative countries, with survival rates that exceed most other transplant programs in the US. They are also at the forefront of pioneering operations, including less invasive techniques and the use of state-of-the-art technology.
The Transplant Nurse Practitioner will work with patients facing liver and kidney disease, pancreatic, liver or bile duct tumors or cancers, diabetes or chronic pancreatitis, small bowel diseases, and short bowel syndrome, among other conditions.
The Transplant Nurse Practitioner will see patients post-operatively, including discharge planning, outpatient care, and patient follow-up. The NP will also have the opportunity to participate in research projects and contribute to data collection efforts to evaluate patient outcomes.
