Responsibilities:
Supervise and plan loading/unloading of materials and oversee preparation of trucks
Identify, recommend and implement changes to improve productivity, quality, excess inventory and costs of materials
Manages day-to- day inventory logistics planning
Ensures that all employees are in compliance with all applicable safety regulations and other company related policies and procedures
Manage daily functions and processes for the warehouse, material handling and receiving operations.
Coordinate receiving/shipping functions, to ensure that the highest level of customer service is delivered on a daily basis
Effectively communicate instructions to staff
Communicate with senior management
Assist in training new warehouse employees, as well as continuous training of current employees
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Prior warehouse supervisory experience required
HVAC, Plumbing or Electrical material knowledge a PLUS
Strong problem solving/multi-tasking skills
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and instruct employees
