Job Description
Our Agency
The Behavior Doc is a behavior analyst owned and managed agency with doctorate level analysts on staff. We are provider-focused, believing that well-trained and supported providers are critical to establishing effective treatment and quality outcomes for our clients. We strive for transparency in our mission and are committed to professional development and growth of our staff at all levels.
Position Overview
Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) are primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior programming for individuals with special needs and behavior concerns. They will work 1:1 with clients in the home, school and community settings as deemed appropriate by caregivers and the assigned lead behavior analyst (BCBA). RBTs will receive hands-on training and weekly supervision from the case supervisor. Common programming for clients will include reduction of problem behaviors (eg non-compliance, aggression, self-injury, elopement, etc.) as well as teaching of specific prosocial skills (eg adaptive behaviors, verbal behaviors, social skills, etc.). RBTs will not be placed with a client prior to formal training on the delivery and teaching of all programming as well as methods for collecting behavior data.
Job Qualifications
Ideal candidates will have experience working directly with individuals with special needs and/or children, a willingness to learn, and a desire to pursue a career in applied behavior analysis (ABA).
To be considered an RBT, one must take a 40-hour RBT training course (self-paced, online) as well as pass an RBT exam. The Behavior Doc will provide access to the training required and will cover all costs associated with taking the exam upon hire should an individual begin working with the agency without the RBT certification.
