Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Center Offering Analysis:

  • Evaluate and analyze data center service offerings from various providers, including infrastructure, cloud services, and managed solutions.
  • Compare pricing structures, service-level agreements (SLAs), and contract terms to identify cost efficiencies and value propositions.
  • 2. Historical AP Assessment:

  • Review historical accounts payable data related to data center expenses and vendor payments.
  • Identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • 3. Market Opportunity and Risk Assessment:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, emerging technologies, and potential opportunities within the data center industry.
  • Assess risks associated with data center investments, including regulatory changes, security threats, and competitive dynamics.
  • 4. Financial Modeling:

  • Develop financial models and forecasts related to data center expenses, budgeting, and cost projections.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial modeling results.
  • 5. Vendor Relationship Management:

  • Collaborate with procurement and vendor management teams to negotiate contracts and agreements with data center service providers.
  • Monitor vendor performance and adherence to contractual obligations.
  • 6. Reporting and Presentation:

  • Prepare comprehensive reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings, cost-saving opportunities, and strategic insights to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Required Skills:

  • Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; MBA or relevant certifications (eg, CFA, CFP) preferred.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in financial analysis, preferably in the technology or data center industry.
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools (eg, Excel, financial modeling software).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Knowledge of data center operations and services is a plus.
  • Preferred Skills:

    MBA or relevant certifications (eg, CFA, CFP)
