Note:

US citizen with current Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph

Job Activities:

Maintain, and upgrade (software/firmware/hardware) LAN/WAN components including routers, switches, firewalls.

Monitor, analyze, troubleshoot, and optimize network system performance, proactively identifying and quickly resolving service impacting issues.

Drive and/or participate in projects in support of installation and/or improvement to voice, video, and network infrastructure.

Produce, update and generally improve technical documentation to support security requirements and operational support of systems.

Review systems vulnerability assessments to ensure compliance with recognized industry standards and best practices.

May require infrequent on-call and on-site support of network after normal business hours including weekends.

May require infrequent travel to other sites within the National Capital Region.

Roles & Responsibilties:

The contractor will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving network issues on our nationwide network.

The contractor will also be responsible for touch labor support of the National Capitol Region sites including hardware moves/adds/changes/

How will the contractor’s success be measured? (Quantifiable measurements): closure of support tickets within service level agreements.

Completion of agreed objectives within agreed deadlines.

Culture (Will this contractor be working in a collaborative team environment or as an independent contributor?)

Contractor will be a member of a nationwide collaborative team, but the lone support resource for the Client.

Desired Skill Sets:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field.

Familiarity with Amazon AWS cloud (network focus).

Experience managing a private crypto network using GEM One for TACLANEs.

Experience managing and automating a network with Cisco DNA.

Experience with automating network tasks with Ansible and/or Python.

Required Skill Sets:

At least 5-years of experience as a network engineer.

Cisco CCNA or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and experience.

Proficiency in Cisco LAN/WAN routing and switching technology to include OSPF, BGP, DMVPN, and IPSec tunneling.

Proficiency in administration of Cisco Firepower security appliances.

US citizen with current Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Counterintelligence Polygraph

Familiarity with the rules and standards of operating a network in a SCIF environment.

The selected candidate must have a DoD 8140 – CSSP Infrastructure Support security certification (eg CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, CND) or able to obtain one within 6 months of employment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong collaboration, team building. o Strong customer service ethic and focus. o Self-motivation and ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
