Job Overview
We are a well-established tax and accounting firm dedicated to providing professional services to Individuals, S-Corps, C-Corps, Estates, Trusts, and Non-Profits. Due to our recent growth, we are seeking a tax manager to join our team.
The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of experience working as a tax preparer in an established tax environment; have the ability to form and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients; demonstrate strong, concise, clear written and verbal communication skills; and be self-motivated, flexible, and have an internal drive to meet deadlines.
Any candidate applying for this position must possess excellent attention to detail, a keen sense of organization, and sharp time-management and prioritization skills. The ability to work work well in a team environment is a must.
Preference will be given to candidates with CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, and Xero software experience.
Role/Responsibilities
Provide quality control review of completed Federal/State/Local income tax returns for Individuals, S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships, Estates, Trusts, and Non-Profits
Assist in directing a team of tax preparers in an effort to maintain adherence to tax preparation timelines
Assist and/or lead tax research efforts for domestic and international tax matters
Provide tax compliance and tax planning services
Analyze budgets and other financial information
Prepare financial reports and statements
Verify the accuracy of transactions
Participate in strategic planning
Qualifications
Valid CPA certification in compliance with the state board of accountancy regulations
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Fluency in both Spanish and English
