About the Role/ The Opportunity:
As an Area VP of Sales, you will report into the President of North America Sales and lead a team of Enterprise Regional Vice Presidents (RVP). In this role, you will be responsible for and have direct impact in driving our North America West sales and will be a key member of our North America Sales leadership team. This position thrives on winning software solution sales, understands the complex business challenges of prospects, can navigate the political map & buying process of prospects; and clearly communicates the value of Sitecore solutions to clients and prospects. We are looking for a high achiever that demonstrates strong industry insights, leads strategic go to market initiatives and offers creative client engagement strategies to assist the success of our customers’ digital transformation.
What You’ll Do:
Collaborate across cross-functional teams and business leaders to develop and deliver on a holistic GTM strategy that aligns with the company’s revenue goals
Build, lead and scale the high performing Enterprise sales team in North America and drive performance against the growth targets for the business
Grow strong C level relationship in target accounts at CIO, CMO, CDO and others associated with Digital Transformation
Be proactive in customer facing engagements to help coach, guide and support Account Executives in their sales pursuits
Build a focused and pro-active partner eco-system who are motivated to promote Sitecore platform into target accounts
Define and manage a clear operational cadence for the business including opportunity & close plans, weekly sales meetings, deal and pipeline reviews. A pro-active practitioner of sales methodologies
Effectively and successfully guiding a team of RVPs to achieve sales targets
Proactively manage significant client escalations
What You Need to Succeed
Bachelors degree in Business or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Typically, 8-10+ years progressive Sales Leadership Experience with proven track record of success in driving revenue growth and developing customer relationships in SaaS environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth software company with proven track record for building high performing sales teams
Entrepreneurial spirit/mindset with flexibility towards dynamic change
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent executive engagement, presentation and negotiation skills
A natural problem solver, someone who assumes accountability and responsibility for their business but who takes a ‘team first’ approach to recognition and reward
Demonstrable track record of successfully positioning & winning in the areas of marketing/customer experience/e-commerce/business analytics software. Digital agency experience also considered
Ability to build empathy and rapport quickly across all levels within an organization
Additional Skills That Could Set You Apart:
Experienced in sales methodologies – Miller Heiman
Experience in MarTech company a plus
