The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) organization. Space and Launch Division is seeking an Associate Mission Planner to join our team in Herndon, VA. The Space and Launch Team creates the next generation products and services for the BDS business unit. We work with proprietary customers in the development of the next-generation technologies in space. Our team focuses on rapid prototyping to demonstrate a host of mission-focused technologies for a variety of customers. Our group works all facets of engineering from technology investment, concept development, proposal writing, requirements and design, build, integration, test, and demonstration of products in their relevant environments.
Position Overview:
The Experienced Mission Planner position will be a part of a high-performing team in a very dynamic environment. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to train and certify on a complex system to include scheduling resources, maintenance, user support, collaboration and system expertise to meet program requirements. This position will support program and customer needs on a regular day staff with occasional need for surging to 24x7 coverage.

Typical Education/Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (eg Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (eg PhD, Master+3 years related work experience, 9 years related work experience, etc.). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
