The Ross Center, an ARC Health Partner, is seeking a licensed Clinical Adult Psychologist with expertise in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to join our Vienna, VA team. This full or part-time position is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and compassionate psychologist who specializes in working with adults diagnosed with anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning disabilities, and behavioral problems.
A Psychologist plays a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services to patients. The Psychologist is responsible for conducting assessments, providing therapy, and developing treatment plans to support patients in their mental and emotional well-being. This role contributes to the overall success of our facility in delivering comprehensive mental health care.
Provide individual therapeutic services to adults using evidence-based practices, primarily Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT).
Conduct comprehensive assessments and psychological evaluations, including testing when necessary.
Collaborate with other mental health professionals within the center, including psychologists, to provide comprehensive care to clients.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records, treatment plans, and progress notes.
Participate in case consultations and team meetings.
Stay current with best practices in adult and/or child and adolescent psychology.
Other duties as assigned.
Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in psychology from an accredited institution required.
State licensure as a psychologist required.
Specialized certifications or training in relevant therapy modalities (eg, CBT, DBT, EMDR) are a plus.
Experience working with adults including those with anxiety, depression, ADHD, learning disabilities, and behavioral issues.
Competence in psychological, psychoeducational, and neuropsychological testing is a plus.
Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion in mental health care.
Ability to work during non-school hours, including afternoons, evenings, and weekends.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience conducting comprehensive assessments and psychological evaluations, including testing when necessary.
Manual dexterity to operate office equipment.
May require periods of sitting, standing and the ability to walk to various locations throughout the health system to attend meetings.
Must have normal or corrected vision and be able to clearly communicate verbally by phone or in person.
Good communication skills and emotional resilience to provide support to patients facing mental health challenges.
