Company Background Our great client is seeking a Human Resources Manager to handle a variety of responsibilities at its headquarters in Ashburn, VA. Our client is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) about 150 employees with a vision to become the trusted information technology advisors to our clients while providing superior, cost-effective service. Our client is currently a prime contract holder with the NGA, DLA, DIA, and supports both the private and public sector. Job Description The ideal candidate will be able to handle multiple responsibilities in a time-sensitive, fast-paced work environment. The Human Resources manager originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will continue to build on our clients employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Human Resources manager is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organizations business goals. The successful candidate will be able to coordinate the implementation of people-related services, policies, and programs and advise company managers about Human Resources issues. Responsibilities Develop and execute HR plans and strategies that support the achievement of New River Systems business objectives. Function as a strategic business partner to the companys senior leadership team and Sector leadership regarding organizational and people management issues. Plan, develop, communicate, manage, and lead the company employee retirement and benefits programs; responsible for benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, annual re-evaluation of programs for cost-effectiveness, information activities programs, open enrollments.Develop and implement performance evaluation programs.Manage new-employee in-processing, employee relations counseling, internal investigations, conflict resolutions, and out-processing activities.Develop, recommend, and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain Employee Handbook. Remain current on relevant changes to Federal, state, and local law requirements. Maintain personnel records and human resources information systems.Ensure the efficient and effective development and delivery of HR training and development programs.Identify and manage a well-developed group of quality vendors and HR consultants.Support employee events, company functions, and other duties as required. Seek relevant and cost-effective professional development opportunities for self and others on the team to stay current with new developments within HR and industry. Minimum Experience A bachelors degree and ten (10) years of Human Resources experience, OR a masters degree in human resources management and six (6) years of experience in the HR field, OR fifteen (15) years of experience in the HR field, OR any appropriate combination of education and experience Experience working with US Government customers desired. Demonstrate strong written and oral presentation and communication skills. Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite, internet, and email communications systems. Required Certifications Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification, Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS), Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), or similar certification(s) preferred.
