Niyam is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team at Fairfax, VA in support of our growing work with the Department of Defense.

Job Responsibilities Maintain and improve the performance of existing security processes for development code, to include writing and updating software code and security processes
IAW guidance provided in the Governmentrsquos roadmap Software security testing and monitoring of information systems for potential riskssecurity gapsunsecure activities Document and communicate these assessments to leadership Maintain a security-conscious view of computing to protect sensitive data, and be involved in every step of Toolchain development
Ensure that security best practices are being followed Operate within DoDrsquos Risk Management Framework (RMF) and work to optimize a continuous RMF capability.
Must Have Minimum of a Bachelorrsquos degree in engineering or similar technical based degree Hands-on experience in software security assessments, and be capable of documenting and communicating the outcome of these assessments to leadership In-depth knowledge of the DoDrsquos Risk Management Framework (RMF) Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in developing and implementing security for software programs 1+ years of experience with DevSecOps tools and processes, including, but not limited to Git, Concourse, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix 2+ years of experience in some software development discipline, to include Java, Web services, Database, andor web application development 3+ years of experience in software security assessments andor reviews 2+ years of experience in reviewing software documentation, security findingscomments, and source code (if available) for accuracy, completeness, and associated risk Interpersonal communication skills with expertise in distilling complicated topics to a broader audience Eligibility to receive a Secret Clearance
