About the role

We are looking for a driven, self-motivated and hands-on Senior React/NextJS software engineer to join one of our cross-functional product teams to build out new features that improve our user experience for our web application. You will be architecting and delivering best in class user experiences and shaping our product with your excellent code. We use NextJS, SWR, Emotion, and enable our users to play live and on-demand fitness content on web, mobile, tablets and all major casting devices.

Compensation: $145,000-$175,000

What youll do

• Work cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality experiences for our web application
• Transform business requirements and hi-fidelity designs into accurate, working features by architecting and designing reusable components, pages and systems
• Refactor, improve, maintain, and enhance existing functionality
• Fix bugs and optimize our application to the highest performance for a fast and enjoyable user experience
• Support evolving our code guidelines, software development processes and CI/CD

Skills

• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
• Thorough understanding of React
js and its core principles
• Experience with popular React
js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs
• Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
• Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc

Who you are

• BA with a focus on engineering
(CS, Engineering etc) or equivalent experience highly preferred
• 4+ years of experience in building web applications
• 6 hours from ET required
• Deep understanding of the react component lifecycle and performance best practices
• You have a can-do attitude, are detail-oriented, communicative, reliable, and proactive
• A team player that sees purpose in helping others live a healthier and better live through the products we build
• Bonus: Ruby on Rails, React-Native or native mobile experience
