The primary purpose of this job is to provide actionable business and data insight for Consumer Banking business unit in daily and strategic decision making. This position will be responsible for identifying and recommending solutions, practices, and innovative techniques that align with strategic business initiatives, anticipate market changes and trends and meet financial goals. This position will also support all Consumer Banking product including payment cards, auto loans, personal loans, and education lending. Work closely with direct management in the holistic evaluation of strategies aimed at driving profitable Consumer Banking products growth. Design, maintain, and document dashboards, reports, and benchmarks to alert business units to monitor business status and fluctuations. Track payment card and other Consumer Banking products campaign performance evaluations across all existing and prospect membership touch-points, including direct mail, digital, mobile, and call center, statements, and branch channels. Obtain quantitative and qualitative data of business processes to analyze, determine and promote data-driven decisions. Analyze data gathered from multiple sources to reconcile differences. Apply a consistent approach to data interpretation and performance measurement results. Analyze and evaluate competitor data and industry trends to understand current business unit competitive posture. Compile, research and analyze trends in support of projects and initiatives Interpret analytic findings and formulate recommendations to share with key decision makers. Articulate findings and observations and make recommendations as appropriate. Work with Product & Channel Development, Credit Risk, Marketing, Finance, IT, and other internal business teams as well as external vendors to ensure consistent and accurate reporting while minimizing redundancy. Build new and modify existing database/ data-mart and business intelligence solutions to meet business unit objectives. Develop sophisticated financial analysis and profitability models to assess performance across credit card risk segments, vintages, and products. Interpret analytic findings and formulate recommendations to share with key decision makers. Clearly articulate findings and observations and make recommendations as appropriate. Qualifications Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered. Bachelors Degree in Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering or a related field is required. Masters Degree in a quantitative or a related field is highly preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Credit Card or other Consumer Banking products acquisition or existing portfolio data analytics including but not limited to marketing analytics, statistical analysis, and performance evaluation within a financial services industry is required. Hands-on skills in SQL, Tableau, Power BI, PowerPoint, Excel, SAS, R, Python and proficiency working with large dataset are required. Advanced Microsoft Excel (i.e., Pivot tables, macros, Lookup, index/match) and PowerPoint skills are required Statistical analysis experience, including A/B testing, linear regression, and time series forecasting are required. Expertise in Data Warehouse and business intelligence associated tools are preferred. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to manage many initiatives simultaneously while providing progressive delivery. Effectively interact and communicate with varying levels of leadership across a broad network of resources. Strong written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills necessary. Proven project management and executive presentation skills. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise. Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds. Travel Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
