While the desired location is in either Fairfax, VA or Dayton, OH, a flexible office schedule with occasional/part-time teleworking may be considered for the right candidate.
PES is seeking an experienced Proposal Coordinator to assist and potentially lead proposal efforts with our new business team to develop proposals in winning new work with Federal Government clients.
The successful candidate should enjoy collaborating with various members of the growth and operations teams as well as an overall desire to work in a growing and innovative company.
This individual will be responsible for coordinating proposal responses from start to submission and assisting company leadership in providing status updates on contract vehicles and bids.
The Proposal Coordinator will support new business opportunities by assisting/leading proposal efforts in support of company strategy and growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will leverage internal and external resources as they orchestrate successful responses to opportunities..
This individual will lead our team in developing compliant AND compelling proposals for Government clients, contributing/coordinating responses, authoring/reviewing sections, developing/refining win themes for differentiation.
Strong attention to detail is absolutely critical for this position.

This position will report to our Vice President of Business Development.
Lead and coordinate proposal efforts
Develops and executes proposal plans, estimates resources, analyzes/decomposes RFPs, creates outlines and compliance matrices
Lead and/or assist the development and timely submission of white papers, RFI responses and other proposal artifacts as assigned
Support the new business team in initiatives and contribute to company strategy
Collaborate with Senior Leadership on proposal status and gate/bid decisions
Establish and maintain effective professional working relationships with co-workers,partners and customers
Work flexible hours as needed, including occasional nights/weekends
Carry out other business development duties as assigned or requested
Work is performed indoors with minimal potential risks to safety and health hazards related to electronics and sitting for extended periods.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:2+ years of demonstrated industry-related experience in coordinating or leading proposal efforts supporting Federal Government clients
Associates degree in English, Communications or other-related discipline
Demonstrated experience coordinating or leading Government proposals with a strong interest in proposal management and writing for Government clients
Demonstrated ability to clearly write and respond to written requests for proposals (RFPs) and requests for information (RFIs)
Proven ability to lead teams in a virtual and matrixed environment, getting results from individuals/teams that do not report to you
Ability to collaborate with others, including company executives, in a dynamic, hybrid environment and to contribute to decisions
Proven ability to multi-task and juggle conflicting priorities at once, sometimes wearing multiple hats to support company objectives
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and proven ability in assisting others how to write and communicate to market the company's capabilities
Strong interest in growing a small business for the long-term and being an integral part of that success
Demonstrated experience working with collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teams)
Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint
Outstanding attention to detail is a must with proven experience in editing support
Professional training in Proposal Management (e.g., Shipley, other)
Experience with graphic design
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications or other technical/engineering discipline
Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (i.e., Secret or higher)
Experience supporting the Army, Air Force and/or other Federal/Civilian agencies in the NCR
PHYSICAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
May require lifting up to 25 pounds
Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard
