JOB DESCRIPTION: The candidate will provide temporary Nurse Practitioner services for 120 working days to the inmate population (both male and female) incarcerated at the Bureau of Prison's prison facilities located in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia. This position is temporary and contingent upon contract award DUTIES

Provide comprehensive assessments, physical and basic dental exams, initial comprehensive medical and psychosocial screenings, mental health evaluations, inmate risk evaluations,

Manage uncomplicated, acute, and stable chronic health problems

Assist Physicians and other providers as needed

Work collaboratively with Physician.

Administer medications

Provide emergency care services in the absence of a Physician

Perform minor surgical procedures

Prescribe medications and treatments for illnesses after consultation with a Physician

Interpret results and laboratory findings, order and/or interpret audiologic testing and screening of distance and near vision as well as colorblindness

Establish diagnostic impressions and request appropriate diagnostic tests

Provide preliminary radiograph interpretation

Interpret electrocardiogram tracings and detect cardiac abnormalities

Enter patient information in the electronic medical record system

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

(Required) Must hold a graduate or higher-level degree in nursing from an accredited educational program. This education must have been accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education, Council on Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Educational Programs, Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education at the time the degree was obtained

(Required) Must have successfully passed the National Council Licensure Examination.

(Required) Must maintain status as a licensed Nurse Practitioner, including completion of all requirements for Continuing Medical Education (CME) and re-certification.

(Required) Must possess and be able to provide proof of current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a professional nurse from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.

(FCI) Hazelton, Bruceton Mills, West Virginia HOURS OF OPERATION

Eight

(8) - (1) hour sessions per day, Monday-Friday (excluding Federal Holidays).

The work schedule shall not exceed 2,880 sessions per 120 days

Working hours will be between 0600

(6 AM) and 1800 (6 PM), with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break. COMPENSATION
