Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems Division is seeking a Manager of Facilities Operations and Strategy that will report to the Division Director of Operations. This leader will be responsible for driving and scaling the division’s facility strategy to meeting our growing commitments to our customers, employees, and company. The Director will lead a diverse and geographically dispersed team supporting both tactical and strategic activities. Tactical activities include day to day operations, near-term construction projects to include building SCIF and Satellite Manufacturing Facilities, Space Planning, business resumption planning, managing operating and capital expenses, and monitoring, controlling, and reporting on all aspects. Strategic activities will include establishing the right team, processes, tools, and strategies to ensure facilities strategy supports long-term commitments and business product line strategies. The leader will drive visibility into key activities, accountability across the organization, and streamlining of key processes. Collaboration will be critical to the success of this position and will require working with P&L, Business Management, Business Development, Security, Enterprise Services / IT, Sector Staff, peers across the company, external contractors, and local officials. Roles and responsibilities to include:
Set and drive facility strategy and processes for space planning, facility operations, and construction projects for a $1B+ business with 4,000+ employees
Update and execute five year facility strategy to support LRSP and #1 in Space goals. Strategy will address gaps in facility needs (SCIF, SMF space, etc.) to meet future goals.
Plan 3 to 5 years ahead of time for growth.
Scale processes to support the growth. Make facilities easy to interface with.
Drive sense of purpose in facility organization and how it ties into supporting customer missions and welcoming environment for employees.
Proactively maintain major facilities before issues arise
Capture metrics and drive improvements to support responsiveness to employee / business needs as well as environmental goals
Oversee / drive growth in facilities in strategic locations – CO, New Mexico, and other locations critical to alignment with customers and growth.
Oversee geographically dispersed teams of employees and contractors in Gilbert, AZ and Dulles, VA that are responsible for:
Proactive identification of issues in our facilities and address them before they become safety or operational challenges.
Space planning. Ease seating constraints in SCIF spaces by building new SCIFs. Increase accuracy and responsiveness to overall and ever changing space need.
Partner / interface with landlords and contractors to ensure day to day needs are met.
Set and execute to operating expenses of each building
Day to day operations and maintenance of major office and SMF sites

Basic Qualifications
Bachelors Degree with 10 years of experience.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance
Demonstrated experience managing complex facility projects requiring collaboration with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Experience developing and administering budgets and standards of performance
Demonstrated program management experience with facilities / real estate related projects. Working with external contractors to see projects through on schedule, within budget, and meeting requirements.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and project teams.
Demonstrated experience improving and scaling processes, tools, and team structures.
Preferred Qualifications
Active (in-scope) TS/SCI Clearance.
Experience in an operational environment with solid understanding of process to build capabilities in a manufacturing and assembly & integration test facility.
Experience building secure facilities to government standards.
Experience supporting business continuity / resumption planning.
