We are looking to hire a Front End Developer to take responsibility for building out web applications whilst ensuring the alignment of web design with user experience requirements.  You will need to optimize web pages for maximum efficiency and maintain brand consistency across all pages.

You will be required to work alongside and in conjunction with our back end developers, UI, UX and graphic design team to ensure all elements of web creation are consistent.  Furthermore you should be able to translate our company and customer needs into functional and visually appealing applications.

Responsibilities

• Use markup languages like HTML to create the structure and design of web pages

• Focus on UI & UX in conjunction with design rules and guidelines

• Ensuring web design is optimized for smartphones

• Ensuring web pages are optimized for maximum speed and scalability

• Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers to improve usability

• Compile documentation and guidelines 

• Produce quality mockups and useable prototypes

• Ensure brand consistency at all times

• Keep abreast of emerging technologies

Requirements

• Experience in front end development

• An appreciation of key design principles

• Competent with HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery

• Understanding of SEO principles

• Familiarity with browser testing and debugging

• Problem solving and troubleshooting skills

• Familiarity with software like Adobe Suite and Photoshop is advantageous

• Excellent analytical and multitasking skills
