We are looking to hire a Retail Sales Associate to join our team.  As the public face of our company, you will be responsible for assisting all our valued customers with their shopping experience and answering any questions they have about the products and services that we offer.

You will need to have a passion for learning as in order to help our customers, you will need to be continuously updating your knowledge of our products, services, and policies.  As a Retail Sales Associate, you will also have to be a people person and have strong communication skills, ensuring customers feel welcome in our store as well as being comfortable in delicately handling a situation when a complaint or concern arises.

You will also have responsibility over the presentation of the sales / shop floor, ensuring that all products are displayed according to company guidelines and all signage and displays are inline with company standards.  A positive attitude and a desire to meet sales quotas for our business to ensure the store's profitability is integral to the success of the role.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers and helping them find their way around the store

• Learning about our products and services to accurately answer any customer questions

• Operating cash registers / POS and other electronic devices

• Ensuring the sales floor is neat and tidy at all times

• Increasing in store sales through exemplary customer service and cross selling

• Ensure the sales floor has the necessary amount of stock

• Manage returns of merchandise and handle complaints as and when required

Requirements

• Work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role

• Confident in dealing with customers and handling complaint procedures

• Basic math, reading and writing skills

• A passion for sales and a professional appearance

• Happy to work shift patterns and on some weekends / public holidays

• High school degree or equivalent
