We are looking to hire a Server to join our team and be the face of our restaurant as you greet, sit, take orders and serve our valued customers to ensure they receive the best possible dining experience.

As a Server you will be primarily responsible for taking down customer orders and then serving their food in an efficient and pleasant manner.  You will therefore need to be comfortable speaking with members of the public and asking them questions to ensure you note down exactly what their requirements are and any special requests they may have.  You will also be responsible for taking payment once your diners have finished their meal as well as ensuring the table is clean, tidy and prepared for the next customer.

You need to be enthusiastic about providing a high-quality service, ensuring our customers have the best possible dining experience and our reputation is upheld within the industry.  A positive attitude is essential as is the ability to work well under pressure especially during weekends and other busy periods. Experience working in a customer facing role within a fast-paced environment is therefore desirable.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring your tables are clean, tidy and prepared for every new diner

• Greet customers in a friendly manner when they enter the restaurant

• Attend to customers upon entrance

• Explain the menu to customers and discuss any dietary restrictions

• Take and serve orders

• Communicate and work well with other members of staff across the restaurant and kitchen

• Handle complaints or problems with sensitivity and care

• Collect payment from the table and issue receipts

Requirements

• Ideally some previous experience in food serving or waitering 

• Proven experience providing customer service in a fast-paced environment

• Able to adhered to strict cleanliness and sanitation standards

• Excellent people skills and able to handle complaints in a professional manner

• Can handle money accurately, confident in using point of sale system

• Able to communicate and work well alongside other members of restaurant team
